Professional Hanging Solutions was conceived when the Long Island picture framing shop I worked in had clients with a need for professional picture and mirror installation. In 1991, I began working at New York Solar Print in New Hyde Park, NY (now J.C. Frame Master). I was taught all aspects of the art/picture framing business by master framer Joseph Castrianni. Occasionally clients would ask me to hang art and mirrors for them. With little knowledge I was up for the challenge and took on the projects. I developed my own techniques and gained a tremendous knowledge of past and present building materials, tools and hardware involved with installing other items including unframed art, tapestries, and decorative accessories in all types of surfaces. I became proficient at hanging formal and informal groupings of pictures and in locations that were hard to reach.
I assumed other Long Island picture framing shops and galleries had a need for this service as well. In February of 2004, I started cold calling to galleries and custom picture framing shops in Nassau and Suffolk counties. I introduced myself and explained the services I am able to provide and received a much welcome response from business owners who were grateful to finally have this resource for their clients. Almost immediately, I started receiving calls for picture hanging and installations. Without formally advertising, I have grown Professional Hanging Solutions making new connections and adding installers with service to N.Y.C. and the metro area.
I have earned an outstanding reputation by not just being knowledgeable but by being professional, courteous, accommodating and willing to take on unusual & seemingly impossible projects.
Today, I’m proud to share that my son Aidan has joined me in the business, marking an exciting new chapter for Professional Hanging Solutions. With both of us working together, we’re able to offer expanded service, greater availability, and an even stronger commitment to our customers.
